Frequently Asked Questions
Our tiles are essentially concrete tiles. The pattern has been pressed onto the tile, using cement and pigments, and is an integral part of the tile. The pattern is pressed 2-3 mm deep into the tile surface. It will not peel or wear off over time. Our tiles are extremely durable reason it being concrete and will last a lifetime.
Concrete is a natural porous material – meaning if something fatty falls onto it, it could leave a stain mark behind. To solve this, we seal every tile with 1 coat of sealer before it leaves the factory. After installation, another coat of sealer is recommended, and yearly after that in high-traffic areas. Areas where spills and stains will be more likely to happen include kitchen floors and splashbacks behind a cooker top. Oil stains from cooking will penetrate the tiles therefore a sealer is highly recommended in these areas. Please follow the sealing guidelines to make sure your tiles are sealed correctly, to ensure they are protected from spills & splatters. We supply free sealer with every tile order.
Simply clean your tiles with warm water and a small amount of dishwashing liquid. Use a mop or sponge to wipe the tile clean. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasives on your tiles as this can remove the coat of sealer, and can damage the surface of your tiles.
